If I remember correctly, AdPlug (http://adplug.sourceforge.net/) also
uses the fmopl.c from MAME, and they have received permission from the
guy who wrote it.

On another note: on the bug page on sourceforge, a bug in MI2 is
mentioned which I also have noticed. I've just checked after doing a cvs
update, and it's still there.
