Hey guys,

I've noticed recently that we have a lot of documentation scattered all
over the place... in both CVS (Xref notes and other things) and on
various devs personal homepages.

Editing would be limited to people on a per-case basis - although
everybody with relevant info is free to participate. If people actually
intend to update it, it would IMHO work well and make it easier to
expand and correct existing docs.

Uses include storing stuff like all the info floating around on various
peoples personal homepages, the known format information, supplimenting
code documentation (eg, if you add a new codec jot some notes down in
the wiki about it - where it occurs, what it's used for, etc).

What do people think?
