Ah I am sorry. So the "default" Windows MIDI device is used...  
However, I think it still makes sense to allow the user to select  
which device to use. E.g. in one game you may prefer the Windows  
built-in softsynth, in another the MT-32 attached via your USB  
port... Just like I do it on my Mac :-)
