Hi Team,
Here I'd like to provide you my usual release status message. Sorry for
not sending it right away, but I was busy to process 180+ messages from
tracker and also current list of bugs is not that scary as it was 2
days ago :) Thank you for your work.
With this release I decided to attract a bit more attention to
non-critical bugs, so sorry for a long list. As always, the rules are
easy:
- We will not go till all release critical bugs are fixed
- If you do not consider some bug as release critical, feel free to
lower the priority. I may be mistaken by assigning it this status.
- Nice to have fixed bugs are just nice to have fixed. But it would
be not bad if you at least try to take a look into it and make a
comment
And everyone is encouraged to fix as many bugs as possible. Currently
we have 161 bugs open, and frankly, this number grows from release to
release. Sigh.
About future code freeze. The areas which will not be under the freeze
are:
backends/ hierarchy
engines/cruise
engines/drascula
engines/igor
Schedule:
December 19th -- code freeze. Commit to both branches, only bugfixes
December 27th -- branch. Trunk unfrozen
January 11th -- tagging
January 15th -- release
