I opened feature request #1763018 when Raziel started bug #1762886. They are connected, in fact the culprit is either our AmigaOS4 (SDL) backend or the SDL port on AmigaOS4. 

We experimented a little with #defines in backends/sdl/events.cpp, but it seems that SDL is not detecting the 'special' (meta?) key on AmigaOS4.

Any suggestion is welcome.
