Hi Kostas, all,

very good news! Besides the GUI additions, this GSoC task unified the  
internal handling of some of the compressions tools, which should  
simplify maintenance a bit. It would be nice if that unification  
could be continued (by any interested parties ;).

Also note that we probably should add a configure script, as the GUI  
code requires wxWidgets. Hence a configure script should check  
whether it's present, and where. If no wxWidget is available, it  
should still be possible to compile the non-GUI tools.
