This bug happens with the original interpreter as well, and looks like a
script bug. I haven't been able to figure out exactly what's happening,
though, so I can't propose a workaround.

I would like to add "1876741 FOTAQ: Low sample rate" to the "Nice to get
fixed" list. Actually cyx already fixed it, but the fix only helps if
you are playing the original data file. Any compressed version still
plays the speech at the wrong frequency.

I guess someone will have to prepare new compressed versions (if that
hasn't been done already). Another thing we could do is to add a
workaround so that the sounds are still played correctly. I've attached
a pair of patches to the bug report that does this in two different
ways, but is that a good idea or not?
