  Attached a patch for this bug to its report at
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2019355&group_id=37116&atid=418820
and I hope it works now fully too. As the fix
is a bit extensive I wasn't sure if just should commit
it straight to the trunk and branch-0-12-0.
I'll give some time for comments and if there aren't
any I'll just commit the fix to the trunk and branch-0-12-0
later during Tuesday (Going to bed now, zzzz....).
