I don't know.  I never played the whole game till the end with the English
version.  if some texts are even longer, then the cleanest solution would be
to split the longest line in half until it fits (and possibly removing the
hack with the smaller font), but I think it would even be acceptable to
simply ignore the problem and let the text be displayed cropped.  if it's
just one or two texts, who cares.

absolutely.  don't doubt about it.  any clean-up is more than welcome.  I
also cleaned the English up a bit 3 years ago when I was releasing the first
public English version.  just, please, keep the compatibility with all
released versions.  I think you don't even have to check the MD5 checksums,
or you can, but just of some files whose contents doesn't change at all, for
example images.

also, if you are willing to do it, I would like to kindly ask you to
implement playing not only the current dubbing stored as uncompressed 8-bit
22kHz samples, but also dubbing stored in some new Ogg-compressed format,
and making the game support both and auto-detect which one is used.  if that
is done, then we could release new game archive, much shorter than the old
one, with the same functionality.
