From a programming point-of-view, I'd love to see it gone. It
complicates the code, partly because of the YUV to RGB conversion but
mostly because it draws to the overlay to get 16 bpp graphics (with an
8-bit fallback), which means they have to do their own scaling.

But maybe we should still have the Broken Sword engines look for the
MPEG cutscenes (if the DXA ones aren't found) and print a detailed
message about why they no longer work, and how to fix it.

While on the subject, should the Broken Sword games ever support
Smacker, or will they only support DXA?
