Hi Team,

Yes, the subject is correct. We decided that next release will be 1.0.0.

It was not easy decision, as we still lack documentation. Nevertheless
current "beta" status is a bit misleading. Majority of our engines are
really stable.

I am adjusting the release plan over again, startin feature freeze a
bit earlier than usual because there is no upcoming features which I
see.

Hence, here is the release schedule:

July 10th -- feature freeze, testing starts (users test 0.14.0svn)
July 24th -- branch, trunk is unfrozen (users test 1.0.0pre)
August 10th -- all ports are frozen, porters start test builds.
August 21st -- tagging, builds start getting uploaded
  August 31st -- release

What feature freeze means? No new major features are allowed. Only
bugfixing. There still could be rare exceptions, and this has to be
consulted with me and will be decided on per case basis. Only supported
engines are frozen. Areas which are not under the freeze are:

  - Igor
  - M4
  - SCI
  - All backends

Once the branching is done, the trunk will be unfrozen, and we will
have to backport all bugfixes afterwards. Backends still will not be
frozen at this time.

Then on August 10th there is a complete freeze of the branch. No new
code will be allowed.

I really hope that the porters will use provided time wisely and we
will get all ports ready in time.

As usual, your comments are welcome and the schedule could be adjusted.

I will look through the bugreports tonight.

Eugene
