Another thing that could be added to that task would be adding real
24-/32-bit surfaces to the backends, or at least that new SDL-OpenGL
I.e. patch
done right. ;)

I mean, for both arbitrary scaling and 16bit support, the whole scaler
shebang has to be rewritten anyway, right?
