Since there was a long discussion on -devel (which I can't find anymore) about the change from SVN to git or mercurial, I thought it would be good to share a VERY nice site I found on the subject. It's for Mercurial, but most of the things it says should happily apply to git too:http://hginit.com/
This explains how Mercurial works, and how it differs from SVN. Worth a read for people who are used to working with SVN and don't understand how Mercurial/git/bazaar works, or what benefits it gives. I found it quite enlightening myself :)
