I looked at the code again, it seems it only sets the GS synth into 
MT-32 compat mode if you furthermore enable "True Roland MT-32 Mode".  
It's also noteworthy that it seems the SCUMM engine only uses GM reset 
when the "Roland GS Mode" is used... That all seems a bit odd...
