hi all,<br clear="all"><br><div>I have just merged the branch gsoc2009-draci, implementing the engine of Dragon History, into trunk, fixed a minor compile error due to a progress in the trunk, and started cleaning the class interfaces.</div>
<div><br></div><div>the game is playable, possibly even completable, although nobody has tried to do so yet. I'm planning to implement load/save of the game state soon so that one can effectively start testing it, and then fix the found errors. afterwards, I'll try to implement proper walking of the hero (he just "teleports" himself at each click instead of slowly walking), sounds, music, and some other minor glitches.</div>
<div><br></div><div>if you are interested, you can try it out. you need to</div><div>- enable the engine draci in configure</div><div>- install data files from <a href="http://www.ucw.cz/draci-historie/index-en.html#download">http://www.ucw.cz/draci-historie/index-en.html#download</a></div>
<div>- possibly check out the walkthrough from <a href="http://www.ucw.cz/draci-historie/manual/walkthrough.html">http://www.ucw.cz/draci-historie/manual/walkthrough.html</a> (sorry for a very quick translation that I've never proofread after myself)</div>
<div>- left mouse click means Walk / Explore, right click means Use / Talk / Switch location</div><div>- letter "i" enters the inventory</div><div>- for the time being, the following debug features can be used, although they will be disabled in the final game: "w" switches on/off walking map, left and right arrows switch to a different location (regardless of whether it should be reachable at this point of the game, you can simply go through all locations to just find out how they look)</div>
<div><br></div><div>if someone wants to help me out, testing and reporting would be good. so far, it's been tested on Linux/i386 and Mac OS X both Intel and PowerPC, so endianity etc. should work well.</div><div><br>
