Hi Max, hi team,

As we discussed, I tried Git Extensions and it worked for me (at the opposite of the previous version of tortoisegit) using WinXP SP3.
Neverthless, I didn't had time to make extensive tests nor to test the brand new tortoiseGit, but I shouldn't have problems to commit after the migration.

Thanks for showing me this tool before the migration ;)

Regards,
Arnaud

On Mon, Nov 8, 2010 at 3:29 PM, Max Horn <max@quendi.de> wrote:

looking at <http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/GIT_Migration>, I see no principal complaints about a potential move to git... at least it *seems* as if even Windows users can get along using git these days, either by using TortoiseGit, Git Extensions, command line access -- or by simply using the equivalent Mercurial tools, plus the hg-git mercurial plugin <http://hg-git.github.com/>, which allows you to use a git repository using mercurial tools.

So, if anybody out there still has serious concerns about switching to git (and this *especially* concerns the case were a developer might be locked out from working on ScummVM due to this), please speak up now!

Cheers,
Max
