<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi team,</div><div> </div><div>As you know, we have been accepted this year again for the Google Summer of Code. Sadly, ResidualVM was rejected for their first participation. After a discussion with Carol from Google, it appears that Google suggests that we become a virtual umbrella for the duration of the GSoC and put ResidualVM under it. Concretely, this means that ScummVM will receive extra student slots earmarked for students working on ResidualVM.</div>
<div> </div><div>For ScummVM, it won't change many things, except a bit more administrative work for org admins. For ResidualVM, it's a chance to get students this summer and benefit from their work. Most of the mentors (including ScummVM's Core Team) of ScummVM and ResidualVM discussed the situation and we all think it's a very nice opportunity for all of us.</div>
