Hello guys,

I'm french, and i've finally sorted out all the bugs from the french version of Nippon Safes.

Basically, i discovered that it's useless to patch or make corrections directly on the game engine.

Why? because the problems lies inside the game data files stored inside the 'FR' file.

2 things :

1) The crashs and the 2 big ones when You play with Dough when he must give the paper to Dino, and the ending in french are not a problem from the parallax engine. It is due to the buggy production tool Paolo Costabel used to generate at first the files.
This tool just has fucked up the texts and commands formatting : any empty space, or tabulations discovered inside the data script files will make the parallax engine crash.

2) The french translator just fucked a bit more the said files..... hence the 2 big crashes (Dough & Dino + the final ending).

What i did is the following :

1) fixed all the empty spaces and backspaces found so that the parallax stops crashing

2) removed from the data files all the manual copy protection (10 times easier than patching the executable!)

3) correcting all the typos from the french version.

To this day, i have a fully working FR file for the french version (Amiga), protected and deprotected. I will patch very soon also the PC version, which has exactly the same problems as the Amiga version......

The question is : are you interested in my fixed ADF disk, and by the next to come PC version corrected too ?

Cheers,

Denis
