Historical adventure games being made freeware is always a great thing, and I imagine the German ScummVM users will appreciate it, even if running the original in DosBox. I just tried dumping the executables into IDA, and it looks like it has proper library method signatures for the compiler used to develop the game. So when/if anyone gets to reverse engineering the game, they'll have a head start on understanding how the code works. <p>the german adventure game "Die Sage von Nietoom" is now available for free at my project <a href="http://www.kultmags.com" target="_blank">www.kultmags.com</a>. I got the permission from the developers to release the full cd-image + game + some extra's (handdrawn pictures from the game-development).</p>
<p>sadly they don't have the source code for this game anymore.</p>
<p>but maybe it's a candidate for scummvm to support this game and maybe even make it possible for other translations.</p>
