Summary: Pop-up window for shortcut-key saves

Initial Comment:
When saving a game using the shortcut keys (Alt+#
now?), as opposed to the GUI, a pop-up window should
come up for, say, 2 seconds to confirm that the game
has been saved. That way, even if the console window is
not visible (e.g. during a fullscreen game), the user
knows that the save has actually completed.

When we switched from Shift+# to Alt+# for shortcut-
key saving, I didn't know about the change and kept
using Shift+#. Since I couldn't see my console, I
couldn't tell that my games actually weren't saving.

Actually, we should have the pop-up window come up even
if the save was made from the GUI. The reason for this is
because even when you are typing in the name of your
savegame, you can still press the "Play" button and you will
be returned to the game -- but your game will not have
been saved.

My GF had this problem multiple times while playing; she
thought she was supposed to select a slot, type in the
name, and then click "Play" to finish the process. With a
pop-up window confirming the save, it would be easier to
verify immediately that an actual save occured.

(Of course, it might also be expedient to disabled
the "Load", "Play", "Options" and "Quit" buttons while the
user is typing in the name of their savegame.)
