Initial Comment:
On Blood Island, I can't get past the sign/stage on the
porch of Goodsoup's Hotel. Guywood just disappears.

In 5.1, he used to get really big at that point, but
would shrick back down and I could walk past toward the
BBQ pit.

In 5.5 he vanishes and I can't get past .. so I can't
get what I need to proceed in the game!
