Summary: Item disappears from Inventory
Initial Comment:
In the DOS version of ITE there is a bug where an item namely the "wooden bowl" disappears from the inventory when the character falls into a water basin. The bug occurs after the scene when Rif is imprisoned. The player has to open a secret passage and crawl through a tunnel to the outside. Right before the exit a trapdoor opens and the main character plummets into a water basin.
Just in the moment when the viewpoint switches from the tunnel to the water basin animation the item "wooden bowl" that the player had picked up a few minutes earlier in the game disappears from the inventory without any apparent reason. This item is needed to complete a quest later on and therefore prevents the game to be finished.
This is tested and 100% repeatable in ScummVM 0.9.0, 0.9.1 and 0.10.0 (the exact version and OS of the game can't be determined by me it's a very old CD I could barely scrape the files from).
Attached is a savegame from the scene when the bug occurs. In the tunnel all that needs to be done to reproduce the bug is to click on the right hand side of the screen to make the character move in that direction. Notice the upmost left item (bowl) from the inventory vanishes as soon as the screen changes to the water basin animation.
