Summary: Inccorect behavoir in scripted actions Simon the Sorcerer
Initial Comment:
There are two instances when the scripted actions do not seem to work correctly
Situation 1 - minor
on entering the apothecary, to give frogsbane to the druid, you find that there are two Simons on screen for a second next to each other at the door. The situation then clears and Simon automatically gives the frogsbane to the druid. - Game continues normally
Situation 2 - major (game not compliable)
In sordid’s castle, in the garden section, after attaching hair to the tap I proceeded to add oil from the seed. When Simon did this and returned to the bank, the animation jumped to the beginning and he applied the oil again [he should only have done it once].
Then I pulled on the hair to turn the tap (creating the relevant animation and adding water to the puddle).
Upon trying to cross the puddle, the boat ran aground (something it is not supposed to do if the tap had already been turned [as I had done]). On returning to the tap, it was back in its original position but the hair was in the final position (so now it appeared to hang in space). The tap cannot be turned again.
The game is now no longer completeable as you cannot cross the puddle.
Software:
Simon the Sorcerer (CD - DOS - French) with enhanced music
Scummvm version 0.10.0
I have attached my save file from immediately after the incident (situation 2) - I don't have a save file from immediately before the incident
