Initial Comment:
Trunk r35293 on Linux/amd64 compiled using gcc 4.3.2.
Game: Discworld CD with English voices and subtitles selectable in German/French/Italian/Spanish

Since r35196, the Discworld 2 merge, the subtitles menu of the aforementioned version is non functional. Unlike in r35195 it does not show the flags used to select subtitles anymore. Also the buttons next to the flags do not trigger anything, in r35195 'X' closed the menu for example.

I attached two screenshots to illustrate the situation.
