Summary: Ween: Inconsistant item-pickup sound

Initial Comment:
Under ScummVM, Ween's item-pickup sound varies from one instance to another, apparently through the shifts in the start & stop times of the two notes involved.
This is different from the original engine, where the sound is pretty much the same every time.

comparison can be found here: http://wnivek.home.att.net//ween_pickup_comparison.flac
(couldn't upload as attachment - file size 365 KiB)

The first four sounds are from the original engine (running under DosBox), the other four are from ScummVM. (recorded a while back with an older version, but the issue still exists in recent SVN builds)
Recordings were made in the back-room of the starting area, with the music muted, after having smashed the skull. Four items are picked up: tablet, seeds, digitalis, and ring.
The 1st and 4th iterations from the ScummVM recording are good matches with the original engine, while the 2nd and 3rd exhibit the problem - a gap between the notes.
