This occurs after passing the test and arriving on the Eureka.  After Roger introduces himself to the two crew on the bridge, I went to the engineering section which triggers the conversation with Cliffy.  After that, regardless what else I do on the ship (rummage through Cliffy's tools, go to the transporter room, go to the pod bay), when I try to go back to the bridge, the game crashes.

I've included two saves, one from where Roger is still on the bridge, and the other saved after I've looted Cliffy's tools.  Just try to go back to the bridge, and you'll see the crash.
