Comment:

 For some engines (e.g. SCUMM) there are tools which allow you to extract
 resources (such as subtitles) from games, others (e.g. TUCKER) store
 subtitles in plain text files which can be read as-is by any text editor.
 Adding this functionality is out of scope for ScummVM itself and since
 there hasn't been any interest in this ticket for the past nine years
 either I'll close this for now.
