Comment:

 After playing around some more with the original I was able to get the
 "grab" hand icon to appear in the original at this spot.

 So I believe that the grab cursor is what the original intended to do and
 not the white pointer. This was noticed by bgK in
 https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/10490. Most other books that can be
 clicked use the grab cursor. Since scummvm already does this their is no
 issue.

 I was able to get the grab hand to appear in the original (see attachment)
 by being right on the boundary between the book being clickable (for the
 selentic age) and not.
