Comment (by GGRFH):

 copying all data *.* to a folder on the hd and selecting that folder as
 the game installation with ScummMV 2.0.0 the game starts as it should,
 saves, loads and exits ok, graphics look a little lowres and there was no
 way to change that.

 I also ran the CD install in windows XP on VirtualBox and that gives an
 option between VGA 256 and a Hires mode but the game exits on startup due
 to the VM limitations.
