IMHO the best solution to this is for any engines attempting to read
from their table file (and failing) display a messagebox with working
along the lines of:

"This game requires additional ScummVM files to be installed.
Please see http://www.scummvm.org/docs/extradata.php for instructions."

Add a quick page linking to the files, along with install unstrictions
and instructions nn creating an ExtraPath directory for everything. .
Then some quick screenshots aided instructions on how to add it globally
via the launcher... and alternate instructions for non-standard launcher
ports like Palm and PocketSCUMM... (DC? More?)

The BS1/BS2 cutscene system does something similar already, but now that
ExtraPath is in place it might be a good idea to also point it to the
same webpage. Someone want to run off some screenshots?
