Hi Max,
at first thank you for your answer. I am aware, that ScummVM is open
source and that I could do virtually anything with it. And of course I
would start private and then ask for official support when I got
something to show you. But still I thought it might be a good idea to
ask before I try to contact the developers of Chewy.
Eugene (_sev) already gave me a copy of a letter he wrote to the ITE
developer. I think I can use that as a broad guideline. I would be glad
if you would read over my letter/email before I send it. As the letter
will be in German it would be best to have someone from Germany review
it. ;)
You say that your "rules" sound harsh, but I can perfectly understand
them and agree to them. I don't even know for myself if I will be able
to meet those requirements, but I am willing to try.
I just found the names of the two "New Generation Software" (the company
actually developing Chewy for BlueByte) founders. They still work
together and now produce erotic software... Now I at least I have some
person to talk to instead of addressing the company.
Oh, and about the availability of the game. As Torbjörn (thank you)
already pointed out used copies are still available and are really
cheap. I am more concerned about the English version. I tried to figure
out if I could get one for myself, but I didn't have any success in
finding a copy yet. (didn't try that hard though)
That's it for now. I'll keep you up to date on my progress and you'll be
hearing from me again soon I guess - that is once I've finished the
letter.
Best regards,
Sven
