That is what the compatibility status page is for. The MD5 list
serves another purpose. Right now, we are a bit too strict in the
sense that we reject games for which the MD5 is unknown. My plan is
to relax that a bit again, ideally even before the 0.8.0 release, but
for stability/testing reasons, it's more likely to appear in 0.8.1.
Hence there is no point in maintaining a separate MD5 list.

Yeah, that date reflects the last modification date of md5.xml, not
of md5.inc. We should indeed fix that.
Technical discussion: The solution that comes to mind is to modify
the md5table tool to generate a little bit more code, setting some
kind of "$date" variable, which then can be used within md5.xml.
