Hey there, my name is Vicent Marti, and I'm one of the students who
got chosen to work in ScummVM this summer of code.

I'm 18 years old (not for much longer, though) and I'm currently
studying the closest thing to Computer Science you can find in Spain
right now (Enginyeria Informatica) in the Universitat Politecnica de
Valencia. I've been programming for quite a while and huh... I have
two names (which is more than one) and I speak Catalan, Spanish and
English fluently, and I try to fake some french accent with the cute
french tourists but I fail miserably. The hot-latino-boy approach
sells much more, anyways.

Bah, I don't really have much more to say about myself, so I thought I
could link my complete GSoC application in PDF form, for those of you
who still haven't read it:

In short, what I'm going to do this summer is to overhaul almost all
aspects of the current GUI implementation to make it run faster and to
make it look better in _all_ platforms. This is pretty easy to say,
but certainly not as easy to accomplish, so let's get to bussiness:

As a reminder, probably the most reliable way to get in touch with me
during this summer is IRC, I'm idling there most of the time as
Tanoku, so just PM away. Obviously I'm also watching this mailing list
and my own email inbox so it won't be hard to find me when you need
anything.

Also, I'm eager to start development (as soon as I manage to build
ScummVM on WinCE for portable testing, hehe), and I know there's still
a lot to discuss with my mentor, but as I already told him I'd love a
SVN branch already so I can start hacking away. :)

My SF.net account is "Tanoku" too, and the name for the branch that
Johannes suggested (gsoc2008-gui) sounds accurate and descriptive
enough to me, so just go ahead and branch when you have a moment. ;)

Let me finish by deeply congratulating the other students who will be
working in ScummVM this summer, and wishing them the best luck.
Props to all of you.

-Vicent signing off for the first time in this exciting summer to come.
