I'm unable to reproduce this, using gcc 4.2.3 and the options
-W -Wall -ansi -pedantic -Wuninitialized -Wno-unused-parameter
-Wno-parentheses -Wno-empty-body.

What GCC version and what options are you using, and what exactly does
line 30 of plugins.cpp say?
