[Scummvm-devel] 0.13.0 : TODO & GUI regressions on low res

Hi there,

I did not forget about this!

As soon as I am done with the new FS infrastructure:

 - cache poisoning (yuck!) and optimizations

 - paths (see my previous mails)

 - saved files (now that we have remote support on PS2, which means
that you can start the games out of your PC in the other room ;-)
it makes -lot- of sense to uniform the save data format from
PS2 (UCL IIRC) to whatever all the other backends are using!

I would like to sit on my couch and eventually finish The Dig,
without having to restart it from scratch, but leveraging the
   saved files on host: ;-)

 - savefile manager: the original one was hardcoded for Memory
Card, now that we can write on everything (but the CD/DVD!) we
need to differentiate between the MC case and all other media.

As I was saying... as soon as I am done with all this, I will
document in words and pictures GUI regressions between 0.12.0
and 0.13.0 in low res and the related crashes on games.

Low-res is a plus on PS2 where you are most likely to be playing
far from your TV-set than in front of a monitor, so unless your
TV screen is a few feet long or you got eagle-eyes, higher res
ain't very friendly on PS2 backend GUIs.

So the PS2 backend with all its fancy enhancements is surely going
to be ready for 0.13.1, which is likely a good thing cause I guess
some of the fixes to get rid of the funky colors in some corner
cases and to avoid crashes in low-res are already in the trunk.

Gotta go back to PS2 FS now!

Ciao,
 -max
