That pretty much sums it up to my mind. I haven't commented on this thread
previously, because pretty much everything I thought has been said, and I
don't really like making a 'me too' kind of post.

ScummVM then just the game engines, but for me, that's my comfort zone. It's
what I enjoy doing, so I tend to stick to that, and not get involved much in
other areas, such as the discussions of file system nodes, etc., which I
frequently have trouble following anyway ;)
For tasks to get done, I concur that the best solution is find people who'd
enjoy doing that, and if the ScummVM project is lucky enough to find them,
then it will benefit from people who really enjoy doing that. Otherwise,
we're very lucky to have our current project heads, who see that things get
done behind the scenes, and take responsibility for it.
I also happen to agree with what Max? said earlier about the ScummVM project
- it's not really a democracy, and never has been. Whilst it would be nice
in general to have more open notifications before major events (as a general
procedural matter) so everyone will know what's going to happen, I'm fine
with the Admins making final decisions about what happens.
