I fully agree with this approach. It is certainly more user friendly
this way. But, for flexibility, it is always good to keep the normal
"add game" functionality, via f.ex. the shift key being pressed (i.e.
invert the way this thing is handled currently: normal -> mass add with
the special extensions you mentioned, shift -> add with surgical
precision a single game).
Also, as Eugene suggests, I've always found it odd that if one selects
the innermost directory no files are shown -- I mean it is more evident
in this case that no files are shown. For user reassurance, files can be
displayed in the file selector albeit with a gray color in the
font (meaning not-selectable) instead of black for the dirs.

PS. At the risk of turning this into a bikeshed thread, how about
adding a "don't bug me again" checkbox on that description dialog? :-)
