[Scummvm-devel] Detecting patched games

I can't really be more concrete, since it just happens that the ScummVM
supported games I own (or at least have played lately), already have
their copyprotections bypassed through ScummVM (I think). So for me
*personally*, it's not an issue right now.

In general though, as to which games where I'd prefer to use a cracked
version if that allows me to not dig around for a manual/codewheel, the
answer would be "All of them". Especially when I can play them on mobile
devices when I'm not at home, where I definitely wouldn't have the
manual/codewheel around.

I agree with Bertrand: I don't expect ScummVM to help me avoid copy
protection, but it shouldn't actively *hinder* me either. There's no
legal responsibility to do so (since applying cracks to your own games
is perfectly legal), so the only reason remaining to do something like
this would be to cut down on bug reports caused by bad cracks. So I
propose we just add a warning dialog for now, and see if that cuts down
on these reports. Then if it turns out they still come in, this can be
reevaluated.
