I.e. announce start of the release preparations these days, and merge
the tasks as soon as the release branch is created. This could give
the porters more time for testing, as we are touching the very low
level stuff here.

With regards to my task (dynamic engine plugins on smaller targets), I am
inclined
to agree with this plan since, as has been mentioned, it deals with some
pretty low-level
stuff. (Also, the Linux machine I was using to work on it is in the shop for
repairs and it will
be a while longer, hopefully only a week, until it is shipped back and I can
resume work).

Also, for anyone that's interested, I put a rough HOWTO on the wiki a while
ago concerning this dynamic module
business: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/HOWTO-Dynamic_Modules.

Thanks,

Tony
