Sorry for the lack of feedback, I'll just add some comments as a fellow
ScummVM porter (so nothing 'official').
I can say that getting official WebOS builds a VERY desirable feature. If I
had a Pre I would be very keen to help with this work (I also work on
OpenEmbedded so am familiar with the WebOS build system).
I have had a quick look at your patches and while some could be reworked
with some judicious subclassing of the SDL backend for WebOS they seem sane
and strike me as a very good basis for an official port :).
Have you considered attaching your latest patches to a tracker item
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=418822&group_id=37116&func=browse so
that the team can formally review the patches and (if you want the job) look
to make your port the basis for an official WebOS build with yourself as the
maintainer?
You may also wish to pop into #ScummVM on FreeNode IRC if you wish to have
some informal chats with developers and porters about the process (or just
follow up this mail).
As an aside, you mention in your mail some of your patches are already
fixed/applied in trunk, if you're working off an old branch (say 1.0.*) you
may wish to work off the latest trunk code as this code will shortly become
the basis for the 1.1.0 branch anyway. From experience, maintaining a port
of an old branch codebase is REALLY painful in the long term, better to keep
it building on trunk and deal with the odd backport if you really have to go
back to an old branch ;).
Kind Regards,
John Willis
