[Scummvm-devel] Debian/Ubuntu Builds and Dists Packaging Files

Recently, we had a bug in the release packaging for Debian/Ubuntu i.e.
"Error in Ubuntu/Debian packages" - ID: 3153624 :
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3153624&group_id=37116&atid=418820

This bug has now been fixed, though there was no associated commit to
fix this issue, but this rang a faint bell of recollection for me.

Looking back in the scummvm-devel archive, I have found that this issue
was discussed around v1.2.0 release between _sev and aquadran i.e.
"Re: [Scummvm-devel] ScummVM 1.2.0 missing builds" dated 10/16/10 10:26

I did changes changelog file only for release branches where that make
sense.
Trunk changelog always point it was build from svn trunk as snapshot
not release for daily builds."

but no action was taken at the time or since to commit the missing
distribution packaging files to branch and trunk.

Our current buildbot configuration does produce builds for Debian, but
only in *.tar.bz2 packaging.

To avoid packaging errors in the future, could we restore dists/debian
synced to the latest packaging files provided by the Debian porter and
possibly get buildbot to start building debs automatically?
