[Scummvm-devel] Introducing myself

Hi All,

I’m Matthew (mduggan on discord and github, occasionally go by stauff), and I’ve been working on the Ultima 8 codebase recently.  My first contribution for ScummVM was in 2001 (https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/7927 <https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/7927>), but it wasn’t used so I took a short break :)

Recently I decided I wanted to fix up the old Pentagram U8 engine, and was very happy to learn it had been added to ScummVM.  I plan on working on it for a while - the main technical jobs are to make it use more common code and less of its own copies of things (so that things like scaling work nicely), see if I can *really* fix the draw order (my first attempt more moved it from one kind of broken to another), then there’s also some gameplay bugs I’d like to work out.

If I get U8 working nicely I’d also like to start helping DreamMaster on some of the other Ultima engines, or maybe dig into the Crusader data to see how hard that is to support.
