GNU indent does that on purpose I think. In fact, I prefer its style
- I find hugging cases for functions extremly irritating. A matter of
taste...

Yes I removed it. The README is mostly a document for users. The
indention was the only developer specific thing in it, and didn't fit
in well. If you want to add them again, I'd suggest puttin them into
HACKING.

I personally disagree, but that will always be the case when two or
more programmers have to agree on a single C(++) indention style :-).
