Most interesting. Still IMHO it's kinda pointless to do this - these 
are not meant as version numbers anyway, and attempts to use them 
like that are IMHO just silly :-)

Looking through 
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/scummvm/scummvm/scumm/, 
several files now have 2.x versions, some even from the start, e.g. 
charset.*.
