Summary: ZAK256: MP3 audio played at half speed
Initial Comment:
I got a hold of a version of Zak256, which had the EXP-
and LFL-files from the FMTowns-version, and all the
audio tracks in MP3 format (named track1.mp3 etc.).
There was also a version ScummVM in the RAR archive,
and a BAT-file to start the game with ScummVM.
The included version (claims to be 0.3.1cvs) - and the
0.3.0b version - of ScummVM, played the MP3-files in
correct places, but at half speed. When I cooked up my
own version of the game, in which I burnt the MP3-files
as audio tracks on a CD, the audio works correctly (after
all, it's harder to play CD-audio at wrong speeds).
Tried OS's were Win2k and Win98SE.
This is not necessarily an issue, because the audio is
CDDA in the original game instead of MP3, but I
remember reading, that MP3's are supposed to work (as
they almost do) as well.
