Summary: Freezing before it starts

Initial Comment:
When I try to start Sam and Max there's just a black 
screen with a mouse-courser on the left top but I can't 
move it. When I go in the task-manager I can kill the 
process an I see in the console the error message:

"Error(0:0:0x0): Bad ID !"

But he also says "Detected game 'Sam & Max', version 
6.4.2.

My config file looks like that:

[scummvm]
gfx_mode=supereagle
fullscreen=true

path=D:\samnmax\
nosubtitles=false
master_volume=98
music_volume=40
sfx_volume=255

I'm running scummvm on a WinXP system with Logitech 
Dual Optical Mouse and an onboard via-soundchip.
