Initial Comment:
The script (9) for demo is included in Maniac Mansion 
(Enchanced) but the demo option was not included in 
original game. Would it be possible to make this demo 
script work ? trying to run script 9 under ScummVM at 
the moment causes it to crash in SDL.

it doesn't crash in SDL
it crashes because it tries to load a non existent resource
(sound 1)
Even after putting a hack in around this, you don't get to
see actors and there are some other minor problems like the
end of the maniac mansion logo that scrolls by getting stuck 

Clearly the enhanced version didn't support this outdated
script and I don't see why we should, closing
