Is it posibble to make Scummvm to read games from
zipped files or other archive ?
It will be good for sapce saving if the games are played
from the harddrive ?.
PS : sorry for any grammar mistakes .

Did you think that some kid who probably played violent
computer games and went shooting up the place could be
viewed as a "gaming-incited incident"? I didn't, but it was. It's
not whether it is or it isn't, it's whether it could be that excites
lawyers. Besides, a lot of SCUMM is script-based and is
already byte-code, isn't it?

You know, almost everybody knows how to use winzip these
days, and pirates can easilly unzip an archive before using
it's content... I don't think Lucas Arts would see this as a
problem (but of course, I'm not Lucas Arts, and since they've
been very quiet lately, I understand you don't want to titillate
them(lol, I didn't know this word existed in english, thx
babelfish :D)).
An alternative solution would be to have your own
compressed file format, using a known compression
algorythm (why not GZIP or Bzip2) and your onw header.
And create an utility (like extract for the monster.so3) to
compress the files...

It's possible, techincally, but we don't want it, as it could be viewed as supporting piracy (it would make getting and using warez versions of the games so much easier).
