Initial Comment:
I seem to recall that in the Mac versions of MI2 and Indy4, 
LucasArts included a specific smoothing algorithm, epx, 
which you could you turn off to see how bad the graphics 
looked in the original PC version :o)

Aaron Giles claims it was a simple 2x scaler with some 
guessing algorithm. Does anyone know how to 
reimplement it? It looked cool and not quite like any of the 
current scalers IMHO - but then again it's been a long time 
since I played MI2 on my dusty Macintosh LCII.
