Summary: Music quality for earlier scumm games

Initial Comment:
Earlier scumm games (monkey 1/2, samnmax, dott and
others) contain a lot of midi tracks, but no CD tracks.
Anyway, there are on the net several softwares capable
of extract midi from scumm packages, so it should be
very easy to use timidity and ogg (or mp3) compression
to obtain well-sounding audio tracks. The first
question: is there some legal issue doing so? The
second question: if there isn't, can i force scummvm to
use these audio tracks (which sound a lot better than
any adlib emulation) any time it needs a midi track?
This second question could seem strange because i know
under unix systems scummvm is able to use alsa and
timidity to sound much better than the usual adlib, but
i often use windows and under this OS scummvm only
sound the win32 midi sound (so poor when compared to
timidity capabilities).
Thank you.
